Cammies actively involved in tracing the history and roots connecting the Tea Trails between Scotland and the far east. One may savour a splendid brew of hot Ceylon Tea, not aware that the very man who introduced tea to the Island Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) was non other than fellow Scotsman, a few miles south of Cammies, from Auchenblae, Laurencekirk, the much-respected Mr. JAMES TAYLOR in 1867.
James Taylor was not only instrumental and pioneered the introduction of Tea to Ceylon, but gave the entire nation an identity as Ceylon Tea, which continues to be the produce that is savored by most around the world.
