What is Lumprais? 

Lumprais, also known as lamprais or lump rice, is a traditional Sri Lankan dish featuring rice cooked in a fragrant broth with meat and vegetables. The unique aspect lies in its presentation—prepared rice and accompaniments are tightly packed in a banana leaf parcel and steamed, infusing the dish with a special aroma. Lumprais includes condiments like seeni sambol (caramelized onion relish) and blachan (shrimp paste), creating a well-balanced and flavorful meal that reflects the richness of Sri Lankan cuisine.
